Too often, people get into a car when they really shouldn’t. As a car accident attorney in San Francisco, I’ve seen way too many cases where an accident could have been prevented had an impaired driver simply not gotten behind the wheel of a vehicle. Whether it be the result of ]alcohol or illegal narcotics or any number of items that can cause impairment, an accident involving controlled substances is tragic because it could have been prevented.

A single vehicle accident occurred In Charlestown, Massachusetts, this weekend, to which an officer responded. No one else appears to have been hurt in the incident. When the driver stopped to speak to the driver, he noticed that two syringes, one filled with a brown liquid and the other a clear liquid, were positioned on the automobile’s center console.

With these items in plain sight, police were able to initiate a search of the vehicle, as well as the man himself. This search yielded several used needles and baggies of what was likely heroin. The man admitted to the cops that he had used heroin the previous night.

Also found in the search were three GPS units and a wallet. The wallet contained credits cards and identification that did not belong to the suspect involved in the accident, meaning that it was likely stolen.

The man ended up getting charged with reception of stolen property and possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute.

Luckily, no one was injured in this incident. Far too many times I’ve seen innocent bystanders hurt or killed because someone took to the road when they shouldn’t have. It’s fortunate that police were able to get to the scene and apprehend the suspect before more damage could be done.

We needed help with the Flat roofs on our warehouses. It seemed that whoever did the original construction on them did not do such a great job.
